Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) offers support, resources and referrals for infants, toddlers and preschoolers whose development is delayed, all at no cost to families.

These services may be provided in a variety of settings including in your home, in a school-based early childhood program, or in a community-based childcare. Children are eligible for Early Childhood Special Education through a special education evaluation.

Minnesota's Help Me Grow: Infant and Toddler Intervention services are provided for eligible children birth through age five (who are not yet in kindergarten) who may be experiencing delays in their development for several reasons, including special health conditions. These services are designed to meet the unique developmental needs of each child and their family and are offered at no cost to families. To contact Help Me Grow with a referral or for information, please call 952-895-6610 (in Burnsville Eagan Savage) or 866-693-GROW (statewide).
